OnQ, the retail industry’s leading provider of engaging, tech-enabled, secure retail displays and experiences, today announced new Dfi™ retail security brackets for two of Apple’s newest products: iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable iPhone, and HomeView, Apple’s newly introduced smart home hub. These new security brackets are the latest proof points of OnQ’s ability to design and engineer device-specific security solutions for new Apple products as quickly as Apple can announce them.

OnQ has unveiled new retail security brackets for the recently introduced Apple iPhone Duo and Apple HomeView
iPhone Duo introduced a book-style folding design unlike any iPhone before it, which presented a new kind of engineering challenge for OnQ’s team. Where previous iPhone brackets needed only to match the slim, uniform profile of a traditional slab-style phone, iPhone Duo closes into a compact, passport-shaped footprint that’s nearly twice as thick at the spine, with a titanium hinge assembly running the length of one edge and dual Super Retina XDR displays, including a 5.4-inch exterior screen and a 7.6-inch interior screen when unfolded. OnQ’s design and engineering team created a bracket that contours around the device’s hinge and asymmetric edges, securing iPhone Duo in its closed position while leaving buttons, ports and the hinge fully accessible so customers can interact freely with iPhone Duo while it remains securely attached to the retail fixture. The OnQ Dfi bracket also features an integrated Apple MagSafe charger for continuous wireless charging, eliminating the need to use the USB-C port at the bottom of the phone.
HomeView, unveiled as part of Apple’s mid-October “Welcome Home” launch, posed an entirely different challenge. Rather than a handheld device, HomeView is a smart home hub built around a tilting 7-inch display connected to a domed speaker base. OnQ’s team engineered a bracket that securely mounts the product to the retail shelf, while leaving the display fully accessible so customers can interact with the device as they would in their own homes.
“Apple just changed the shape of the iPhone for the first time in a decade, and a few weeks later it entered an entirely new product category,” said Paul Chapuis, founder and CEO of OnQ. “iPhone Duo and HomeView don’t look anything alike, but the task was the same with both: understand the device, then build a bracket that’s just as thoughtful and elegant as the product it displays.”
OnQ’s history with Apple’s retail ecosystem stretches back years, from being first to produce security brackets for iPhone 12, iPad Air and Apple Watch, to designing and manufacturing large-scale, in-store Apple product experiences such as its dedicated Apple display tables for Costco, now active in 14 countries. This combination of deep Apple retail experience and rapid-turn engineering gives OnQ a head start whenever Apple introduces new products, whether that means a new iPhone form factor or, as with HomeView, an entirely new category.
The new retail security brackets for iPhone Duo and HomeView will be rolled out at major retailers across North America and parts of Europe and Asia. Retailers can reach OnQ directly at info@onqsolutions.com for more information and to place an order.
