Wildpath Transportation to Provide Reservation-Based Eagle County Regional Airport Shuttle During 2027 Aspen/Pitkin County Airport Closure
PR Newswire
ASPEN, Colo., Nov. 4, 2026
Individually bookable seats, six to eight trips daily in each direction timed to flight schedules, and a $69 fare each way between Eagle County Regional Airport and the Brush Creek Intercept Lot
ASPEN, Colo., Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Getting between Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) and the Roaring Fork Valley, including Aspen and Snowmass, is about to get a lot easier while the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is closed for construction from April 4 through November 19, 2027. During this period of temporary closure, Wildpath Transportation will run two connected services: the EGE Line and the Valley Loop.
The Fly Aspen Snowmass Coalition and its partners, including the Aspen Chamber Resort Association, Town of Snowmass Village, and Aspen One, have come together to support this airport shuttle service from Wildpath Transportation with six to eight trips daily in each direction reserved in advance, timed to flights to and from Eagle County Regional Airport, along with a Roaring Fork Valley Loop on-demand line. This is rooted in serving the needs of the community, including keeping more cars off of Highway 82 and I-70 during this airport closure, which would otherwise push guests into rental cars, making the community’s roads and highways more congested. This option serves that purpose, along with being more affordable and accessible.
The EGE Line is the reservation-based highway service between the airport and the valley. Riders reserve individual seats by phone, on the Wildpath website or in the app, and vans depart at or near the available departure times from Eagle County Regional Airport to the Brush Creek Intercept Lot, and back the same way. Vans stop in Glenwood Springs and Basalt whenever riders on that departure need a stop there. Departures are timed around the United and American flight schedules at Eagle County Regional Airport: morning departures get riders to the airport in time for their flights, and departures through the day and evening meet each group of arriving flights. Wildpath adds or reduces vans on each departure as reservations come in, with six trips toward the airport and eight from it each day. The fare is $69 each way between Eagle County Regional Airport and the Brush Creek Intercept Lot. The available departure times appear at the end of this release.
The Valley Loop is Wildpath’s on-demand shuttle for the last mile, between the Brush Creek Intercept Lot and final destinations in Aspen and Snowmass. It has no planned departure times. Riders call or book a ride through the Wildpath website or app, and Valley Loop vehicles meet each EGE Line van at the Intercept Lot to carry riders and their bags to their door. Riders heading to the airport book a Valley Loop pickup that connects them to the EGE Line van at the lot. Because it is on demand, the Aspen and Snowmass times in the table below are estimates.
The timing also helps. The Colorado Transportation Commission recently approved $5 million to move the I-70 Glenwood Canyon Phase 8 project from 2027 to 2028 so it does not overlap with the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport closure, which should make for an easier trip in and out of the valley.
Wildpath is growing its fleet to 22 Mercedes Sprinter vans for the service, four of them wheelchair-accessible (ADA). The number of vans on each trip will be determined by booking data, and Wildpath will scale capacity to match demand. Seats will be booked on the Wildpath website and app, with live van tracking and text updates, ahead of the April 4 start.
“I’ve been working on this corridor for well over a year. I know how it moves, and I know what people need when they land at Eagle County Regional Airport. We’re building this to be simple and reliable: book a seat, show up, and we’ll get you where you’re going. We’re honored to be trusted with it, and we’re ready to get to work,” said Justin Carroll, owner of Wildpath Transportation.
“With American and United significantly expanding flights into EGE during the 2027 ASE closure, there will clearly be a need for scheduled reliable ground transportation between EGE and the Roaring Fork Valley to serve the needs of both visitors and locals,” said Bill Tomcich, air service consultant to Fly Aspen Snowmass. “Wildpath is a locally owned company that has put a lot of time into their preparation of a plan to serve this corridor when the Aspen Airport is closed as an alternative to private vehicles,” Tomcich added.
Wildpath was selected through the Fly Aspen Snowmass request-for-qualifications process.
Wildpath is also hiring drivers, dispatchers and managers in the Aspen and Eagle County areas for the 2027 season and beyond. Interested candidates can reach out to jc@wildpathtransport.com.
ABOUT WILDPATH TRANSPORTATION
Wildpath Transportation is a locally owned, Colorado-based company providing private and group ground transportation across the Roaring Fork Valley and the Denver metro area. AVAILABLE DEPARTURE TIMES
This is a simplified view of the times Wildpath can depart, numbered in order. Please visit the website for further reservation options throughout the season, and choose the departure that is right for you. Each departure runs based on reservations, and vans stop in Glenwood Springs and Basalt when riders on that departure need those stops. The times shown include both stops, so a departure with no stop there arrives earlier. There are more trips from the airport than to it because most flights leave Eagle County Regional Airport in the morning, while arrivals spread across the day and into the late evening.

Bag handling is built into every time: 5 minutes at each Glenwood Springs or Basalt stop, 15 minutes at the Intercept Lot for transfers, 5 minutes at each Valley Loop stop, and about 30 minutes at the airport after each landing. Departing riders reach the airport about 70 minutes before the first flight in each group. Flight times come from a sample week of United and American schedules at Eagle County Regional Airport in June 2027 and will be updated to final airline data before launch.
Baggage: Each rider may bring one regular-size bag of up to 50 pounds and one carry-on-sized bag at no extra charge. Ski and snowboard bags count as the regular-size bag. Additional bags cost $50 to $100 each, depending on bag size, and Wildpath will work to accommodate oversize bags when notified in advance.
